Spring 2019 Classes
Please enroll online prior to the first class meeting by clicking the ENROLL button below. You must create a parent account to enroll your students in any of our classes or productions. All classes are subject to meeting the minimum student requirement per class. Space is limited!!! All classes must be enrolled for the entire season (10 weeks). All classes are held at the YaYa’s studio located at 4144 N. Viking Way in Long Beach. Classes must be paid in full by the first day or 1st payment made in order to attend class. Tuition can be divided into 2 payments. Second payment due 3/18/19. No classes the week of April 20-26, 219.

Studio black box production of 101 Dalmations Kids. This is for the ensemble of the show. Students will have the opportunity to audition for a lead role on Monday, February 25, 2019. Mandatory Tech. week rehearsal dates 4/28/19 1-4 pm, 4/29 5:30-7, 5/1 5:30-7 pm. Performances May 3, 4, 5, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the YaYa's Studio.

Learn the basics of improv and hone your creative thinking skills in a friendly competitive setting! You will learn a variety of short form improv games that will encourage students to think quickly, build upon ideas, commit confidentially, and embrace mistakes. The class will be broken into two teams and will compete for the gold in front of a live audience! Bring an open mind and a willingness to be goofy!

We are holding auditions for season 11 of our YaYa’s traveling performance group that will represent YaYa's at various performance opportunities such as fairs, carnivals, benefit walks/runs, school events and theme parks. Performers cast will train in singing, acting and dancing and will represent and promote YaYa's at public events.
Auditions are open to YaYa’s alumni ages 7-18 only. You must have performed in at least one of our mainstage productions in order to auditon.

Learn the way the comedy pros write sketches, TV shows and Movies using improv! You’ll create your own characters and scenes turn them into scripts, and the whole thing will be put together into an original sketch show for friends and family at the final class. No class 5/1/19. Final class will be Wednesday, 5/8/19 6-8 pm. Performance at 7 pm at the YaYa's Studio.

Beginning Voice is an introductory class to teach the basics of becoming a strong singer. Beginning exercises for breath control, extending vocal range, increasing volume, and singing in an expressive manner are introduced in a fun and safe environment. Vocal exercises and solos are performed to practice these skills.

Have a big audition coming up? Looking to be admitted into an elite performing arts school or college? In this audition techniques class students will learn everything from what to wear to what to sing on the big day! From building a book of song selections in all essential genres to what monologues to have (and not have) in your back pocket, students will leave this class fully prepared for a variety of auditions. No class 5/3/19. Final class will be on Friday, 5/10/19.
